If your child is overweight, further weight gain can be prevented. Parents can help their children keep their weight in the healthy range.

* In infancy, breastfeeding and delaying introduction of solid foods may help prevent obesity.

* In early childhood, children should be given healthful, low-fat snacks and take part in vigorous physical activity every day. Their television viewing should be limited to no more than seven hours per week (which includes video games and the Internet).

Both terms mean that a person’s weight is greater than what is considered healthy for his or her height. Children grow at different rates, so it isn’t always easy to know when a child is obese or overweight. Ask your doctor to measure your child’s height and weight to determine if he or she is in a healthy range.

We suggest that the smallest meal is as simple as possible to succeed in the selection of children’s menu. We believe that simplicity and tradition of the recipes are the secrets that parents do not get stressed in the fight to cause the child to eat well.

Women with high BMI are more likely to suffer high blood pressure and diabetes during pregnancy. They are also more likely to experience difficulties during childbirth. Their babies may also have serious health problems.

Health Risks During Pregnancy

Gestational hypertension (high blood pressure): Gestational hypertension occurs when the pregnant woman has a sudden increase in blood pressure during the second half of pregnancy. Medical professionals can detect this problem during the regular checks on blood pressure.

If the pregnant woman has high blood pressure medication and may need more frequent checks in the weeks before delivery. Gestational hypertension usually disappears after birth. High blood pressure during pregnancy can be a sign of preeclampsia.
